In August, I interpreted Mister Gaudschmitt, the young bachelor who was lodging with the Anne Frank family at the time that they went into hiding. The film is Hanneli and Anne, based on the personal account of Hanneli Pick-Goslar, childhood friend of Anne Frank. Hanneli remembers her interaction with Herr Gaudschmitt on the day she discovered Anne had disappeared. I was honoured to be on board, especially since this production garnered the attentions and essential contributions of Hanneli herself, still alive and living in Jerusalem.
The images in this post are a few set photos that were passed along to me. I do not know who the still photographer was of these particular captures.
Late this summer, I was filming on set with Aaron O'Connell (a complete gentleman in every regard that I encountered him, by the way) when I learned that Being Charlie by Rob Reiner was to première at the Toronto Film Festival. I am not allow to make official announcements for the film, but I've heard around the community here that it is anticipating a screening at Sundance 2016, too. Of course, no announcements are made and no official program has been published by the Sundance Film Institute. Just thought I'd pass along the hearsay because people keep asking me about it whenever they bump into me around town.
