Trust me. I could write eternal pages about my young, yet exquisite life that would have you scrolling down until either you go blind or your brains go on permanent holiday. Never fear, however! Of all my unbelievable beginnings, near death experiences, world conquests, foreign escapades, and brilliant future planning, I shall constrain any otherwise inadequate bio to this glimpse of me and you...

One of my favorite aspects of life is people. Few of life's wonders light me up like a person being true to self. In colloquialism, I geek out most on people geeking out on whatever makes them geek out. Somehow their passions become mine in that instant: I witness the fires of their creation burning deep from within their sacred elements.

For a time, I lived in an historic condominium tower overlooking the Salt Lake Valley. It was the variety of "enchanting old ruin" much as described in The Grand Budapest Hotel (Wes Anderson), if you've happened to see it. One longtime resident in her golden years sported an androgynous bobbed hairdo and wore printed tee shirts with cargo pants and open sandals, even in winter. She walked everywhere and with a cane. I took immediate note of a substantial rosary about her neck; it was in place each time I saw her. Most of her shirts were the spoils of church camps from years past, or so I remember them. But one day, as we were ascending the lift together, I squealed in delight as I saw that she was wearing a Metallica tour shirt. I exclaimed how much I had enjoyed their music back in high school, and I had even been lead singer for a metal covers tribute. Then her fire engulfed us both as she regaled me with Metallica info that not even the famed musicians' mothers would know! I cannot recall everything she knew about their histories, music, favorite breakfast cereals, etc. (let alone how she knew), but I will never forget her passion and the gift she gave me that day by being true to herself.

I share a vision of unity in diversity throughout our world. Each individual is needed to shine light in every dark corner on our shared ball of dirt, water and life in space. That includes you, too. If your interest in my creativity and your visit here today serves only one purpose, I do hope that you feel at complete liberty to be yourself, regardless of who will accept, reject, praise, or judge you.

If you have seen the sun rise, follow it. But if you still walk through your night, hold true to the light that is you, until your sun rises.

This above all: to thine own self be true,

And it must follow, as the night the day,

Thou canst not then be false to any man.

Farewell, my blessing season this in thee!

-William Shakespeare, Hamlet.

cheers to you

It's been fun learnin' to be me. Oh, don't get me wrong: it's been a bloomin' challenge with more tears and laughs than my imagination could ever wiggle up. But we cannot lose what no one can take away from us... and no one can take away the joy it is to be me.

Thank you for giving me every opportunity to be me. Each time you visit here, each time you listen to my music, each time you share my video link with a friend, each time you subscribe, download, donate, or commission... you give me each moment to be me.

It is a great honor to be sustained by you. Thank you for your artistic patronage.

-Andy.
